I visited in March of 2017. Spoke with the couple, Shikha Tripathi and Sindhu Gangola. (Although I only got her last name down in my notes. His comes from that link.)

She is also a journalist. Outdoor enthusiast. Check this out:

This place is truly grand and I’d love to visit it again. I was with Eric, Margaret and the kids before. Do read the description in the first link. Note that there is another place to stay in the Binsar wildlife refuge, more in our budget line. But I have yet to check out the prices. Here’s Grand Oak pricing: link. A nearby and surely cheaper spot is already booked, it appears: link.

Link to the nearby temple mentioned in the first link: link.

Eric and I check out the mountains our first morning. No, that’s not clouds you see.

That’s Trishul, 7120 meters.  And below, you see me looking the other way that morning. Notice the sufficient light jacket. I’d have a bit more next time.

This is where the Languar monkeys hang out.

Check out the photos of the Manor itself in the first-linked article above. This is a special place. Worth two or three days. (Well…. years.)
